This took place on August 8th/9th, 2009.

Another well-organised Tillier's muster, this featured a march through the town and along the beach to reach the battlefield.

Unfortunately, it also featured a march back after the battle!

Whilst it clearly made an impressive spectacle, the march was very tiring in the heat.  Driving from the campsite near the Helicopter Museum to the designated car park near the Railway Station was also very slow due to heavy traffic.

The huge bank and ditch on the beach were impressive, and had apparently cost quite a bit to arrange.

On the first day, Maurice's carried their spades and mattocks, thinking we might get a chance to try and undermine the bank.  The opportunity didn't arise, and we were fighting for Parliament on the second day, so we left them behind.

Evenings in the Beer Tent featured the usual entertainment, so we gathered under an awning around the CO's Trade Tent, and were glad of the shelter.

As usual, there was no-one available to take pictures of us on the field, but here are some pictures of us in camp.
